How do I create an account?
For all the details, please visit our Get Started section. Please remember, you must be at least 21 years old to be able to open an account. If you have trouble installing or starting the software, or are experiencing problems during registration, please contact our Customer Service Team.
Is it free to open and maintain a BetMGM online gaming account?
Yes. There are no set up costs or monthly charges, You will need to deposit money into your account through the cashier to play. Some transaction fees may apply, depending on how you want to send and receive money with us. For more information on cashier costs and fees, visit the ‘Cashier’ when logged into your account.
What is social security number, identity, age and address verification?
Regulations require us to verify our customer’s identity through a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. We need to be sure you are 21 years of age or older and are eligible to legally bet. We are also required to ensure your mailing address is valid. The personal information we ask you to enter all helps us to accomplish these regulatory requirements.
Do I need to be a resident of a state authorized by BetMGM Horse Racing to register and/or bet?
Yes, you must reside in a state where BetMGM Horse Racing is authorized to register and bet. You must be within the borders of those states to place bets. Please also see our FAQ section titled ‘Geoocation’ which can be found under the ‘My Account’ heading to the left.
How do I change my password/e-mail/address?
You can login and change your password at any time under Account -> Settings -> Security Settings. That is advisable if you suspect that somebody has found out your login info. If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot your password?” link on the log in page. Always make sure you keep your login info secret. BetMGM is not liable for any misuse of your accounts! We advise you to choose a password that is hard to guess (e.g. an arbitrary combination of letters and digits and special characters) and to change your password periodically.
To change your email address, log in to your account and go to the “Settings” section and choose the “Personal Details” option. If you forgot your account details, click “Log In” on our home page and follow the instructions to recover your password. In case you don’t have access to your registered email address, contact our Customer Service Team.
To update your postal address, you need to contact our Customer Service Team and upload your current utility bill or your government-issued ID. The attachment should be in a readable format and should not exceed 5MB.
Please note you will not be able to change your account name. Every account name can be assigned only once. Once you successfully register, you need to continue with that account name.
Can I wager on my phone without the BetMGM app?
Yes. However, if you prefer to play on your mobile web browser, you will have to install the Geoguard app on your device. We are required by law to confirm that you are in a state where we are authorized before accepting wagers; when Geoguard is installed and running on your phone it will confirm your location each time you log in. Geoguard is available in the App Store and the Google Play Store.
I have an existing BetMGM account, can I use that to place a horse racing wager?
If you have a BetMGM sports or casino account, you still need to create a BetMGM horse racing account in order to wager on this site (only in Florida, Louisiana or Ohio).
I received a message that I already have an account when trying to create a new one. What can I do?
If you receive such a message, this means that you have already successfully registered on the BetMGM platform. If you have misplaced or forgotten your Account Name and password, simply send our Customer Service team a message with your first and last name, your address, your date of birth and the e-mail address you provided when registering. In your e-mail, please state your reason for writing us so that our Customer Service team can get back to you quickly.
Once I have registered, can I still change my personal data later?
Please note that you will no longer be able to modify your basic data, such as your first name and last name, date of birth, or your social security number. Integrity and trustworthiness are the top priorities at BetMGM. You will, however, still be able to change other data even after registration. In special cases, BetMGM will verify and accept a change to your basic data, provided you submit the required proof.
I don’t want to deposit money right after registration. Do I have to?
You don’t need to make a deposit immediately. You may make a deposit whenever you like by clicking on Deposit.
I keep getting stuck on the same screen when I try to register. What am I doing wrong?
This problem may be caused by your cache memory being too full. Try deleting your cookies and then fill in the registration form again.
