Payment FAQs
Payment Security
Security is one of the most significant concerns when it comes to online transactions, but in reality an online transaction is more secure than a card transaction in a shop or on the phone. The information transmitted online is strongly encrypted using advanced algorithm combinations. Any communication between you and BetMGM is also encrypted using Transport Layer Security 1.2 encryption (or above) and TSL Certificates from Digicert. This means that any information you enter on our site, such as payment details, is automatically protected. You are also protected against fraudulent use of your card in a “card not present” environment by your card issuer. Card issuers provide the right for you to dispute a transaction if the services do not arrive or if the card is used fraudulently.
For your security online, we also support online authentication protocols Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. Verified by Visa is a new way to add security to your online payments. By adding a password to your existing Visa card, Verified by Visa ensures that only you can use your Visa card online. It’s easy and free to activate for your existing Visa card. For more information, please click here. MasterCard SecureCode is a simple and secure way to pay at thousands of online stores. A private code known only to you and your bank, your SecureCode enhances your existing MasterCard account by protecting you against unauthorized use of your card. Personal Data Transaction Security
To protect your personal data during communication with your web browser, we use secure and tested encryption technology from VeriSign®. Online transactions continue to be protected by the extremely reliable security system of a worldwide accredited clearing partner, which guarantees that our payment system is available at least 99.5% of the time in a month.
To ensure that your winnings are paid out exclusively to you, you are required to enter your name and date of birth when registering. As an additional security measure, we also require a copy of an official photo ID when you request your first withdrawal. You can upload this copy via your account.
